Organic botanicals, from Foria's Intimacy line, 3.9 fl oz in amber glass. Warm it in your hands first. It comes out of the bottle at room temperature, and cool oil on a warm back makes someone flinch right when you wanted the opposite. It absorbs instead of sitting on top of the skin, which you notice about ten minutes in, when you reach for the bottle again.
This is the bottle for a night when the massage is the whole plan. Slippery is the point. It is also the problem, because once your hands are oiled the glass wants out of them, so take the cap off first and set the bottle somewhere flat and low. It is a massage oil, not a lubricant. Use a water-based one for that.
Using it
- A coin's worth in the palm, held a few seconds until it is not cold.
- Uncap it and put it down low before your hands get oily.
- Work outward from the spine and expect to top up partway through.
- Keep it to the outside of the body.
Looking after it
- Oil goes into a sheet and stays there. A towel under whoever is lying down saves the laundry.
- Standing up, away from a radiator or a sunny sill.
