The same idea as the plain Gliders set, one base and three sleeves that slide over it, so each step up in thickness is a small one and you decide when to take it. The difference is a motor in the base, with 3 speeds and 6 functions, a magnetic charger, and water resistance to IPX7. It is body-safe silicone, and the maker says it works with all lubricants, silicone lubricant included.
It suits someone who finds that a gentle vibration helps her relax, or who would like the option. If you only want the sizes, the plain Gliders set costs less and has nothing to charge. Dilators are often used with guidance from a pelvic floor physical therapist or a gynecologist, and how fast to go up is a question for them, not for us.
Using it
- Charge it fully before the first use.
- Start with the base alone, and add a sleeve only when the size before it feels comfortable.
- Use plenty of water-based lubricant, and try the lowest speed first, or none at all.
- Go slowly, breathe, and stop if anything hurts.
- If a clinician has given you a plan, follow their timing over ours.
Looking after it
- Take the sleeves off the base, then wash every piece in warm water and a mild soap before the first use and after each use.
- Dry each piece completely, and keep the set and its charger together.
- The maker lists all lubricants as compatible, silicone lubricant included. We keep to water-based on every device, because it is the one answer that is right for all of them.
