For seniors and soon-to-be seniors

Easy to hold.
Easy to use.

Bodies change as we get older, and what feels good changes with them. Something that worked at forty may not be what you want at seventy. That is ordinary, and it is worth choosing around rather than working around.

Why this page exists

Nothing here asks much of your hands.

This page collects the products in our collection that are easiest to hold and easiest to operate. We chose them on physical grounds: the shape of the object and the closure it ships with. Something you can wrap a whole hand around, or that gives your hand a handle away from the working end, rather than something you pinch between two fingertips. Bottles that dispense with one press instead of a cap you twist off. Arthritis, stiff joints, a weaker grip, and hands that tire quickly all change what is comfortable to use, and if that is your situation, start here. We are not claiming these products treat any of that. We are saying they are the ones we would hand you first.

Every device on this page charges over USB, so there is no battery door to pry open and no small batteries to line up. This is a list for seniors and for anyone who can see that stage coming and would rather choose well now. An older body has different needs and different experiences than a younger one. It has the same claim on feeling good.

Our criteria

What we looked for.

  1. Weight

What matters is how heavy it feels after ten minutes, not the number on the box. Smaller and cordless usually beats larger and corded.

  2. Buttons

A few controls that each do one obvious thing, so getting back to the setting you liked does not mean cycling through everything else first.

  3. Shape

Something you can wrap a whole hand around, or that gives your hand a handle away from the working end, rather than something you pinch between two fingertips.

  4. Charging and cleaning

USB charging instead of a battery door to pry open, and most of these are waterproof, so cleaning is a rinse rather than a careful wipe around a seam.

The picks

9 that are simple to handle.

Every reason further down comes from the product’s own description or from the bottle it ships in. Where we are reading a shape rather than quoting a spec, the row says so.

Also worth knowing

Dryness, and what helps.

Vaginal and vulvar dryness is common after menopause. It also shows up during perimenopause, while breastfeeding, and alongside some medications. It is ordinary, it is discussed far less than it should be, and there are products made for it.

A moisturizer and a lubricant do two different jobs, and it is worth knowing which is which. A moisturizer is used regularly, on its own schedule, whether or not sex is on the calendar. Foria’s Everyday Vulva Moisturizer is a hormone-free daily moisturizer for vulvar skin in a pump bottle. Foria’s Hydrating Melts are individually wrapped suppositories that hydrate internal tissue. A lubricant is used at the time, for comfort during sex or with a device. Wicked’s Aloe Lubricant and Simply Natural Gel are water-based and stated safe with silicone toys, and the Simply Natural Gel is also latex condom compatible. System JO’s Agape is made without parabens, glycerin, or glycol, which matters if your skin reacts to most things.

These are comfort and care products. They are not medication, and they do not treat a medical condition. If sex hurts, if there is bleeding, or if dryness is new and you do not know why, that belongs in a conversation with your doctor rather than in a shopping cart. Bring the product list with you if it helps.

The reasoning

Why each one made the list.

  • Lemon CrushStated in the catalog

The only stimulator the catalog itself calls palm-sized. Sits closed in one hand, and it is the least expensive device we sell.

  • Pleasure Air ProRead from the form

The same palm shape, working by pulsing air rather than pressing against you, and quiet. Eleven stated intensity levels means a setting to land on rather than a mode list to hunt through.

  • Rose GlowRead from the form

The same shape again, in silicone that glows in the dark. Finding it on an unlit nightstand is its own kind of easy.

  • Next LibertyRead from the form

The flagship of the same air pulse approach, waterproof and travel-friendly. The Pleasure Air Pro works the same way for less, if the price matters.

  • Doxy GoRead from the form

A wand puts a handle between your hand and the working end, and this one is compact and cordless, so there is no mains cable to manage.

  • Everyday Vulva MoisturizerStated in the catalog

A 1.7 fl oz pump bottle, and the one product here whose own description names menopause. One press, no cap to twist off.

  • AgapeRead from the form

A pump top. At 8 fl oz it stays on the nightstand and gets pressed rather than lifted, which turns its size into an advantage.

  • Everyday Body WashRead from the form

A pump top that stands in the shower and dispenses one-handed.

  • Simply Natural GelRead from the form

A flat disc top that opens under a thumb rather than a fingernail, on a 4 fl oz bottle light enough to hold while you use it.

Where a row says read from the form, we are reasoning from the shape of the object and the bottle it ships in, not quoting a measured spec. Nobody has recorded a weight or a button count for any of these, so we do not print one.

Nobody outgrows the capacity to feel good.
